Križevci hosted opening ceremony of the 29th Games in Croatia

We officially kicked off the 29th season of the Plazma Youth Sports Games with a vibrant opening ceremony in Križevci! 🎉
The City of Križevci was a fantastic host, and it was a special honor to celebrate both the beginning of our Games and the city’s 773rd birthday together with the local community. A heartfelt thank you to the City of Križevci for their incredible hospitality, especially Mayor Mario Rajn.
Our deepest gratitude goes to the children, as well as to all our friends and guests who made the start of the Plazma Youth Sports Games season even more special.
The opening ceremony was attended by numerous distinguished guests from political, economic, and sports sectors, including: Davor Božinović, Minister of the Interior and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia,
Tonči Glavina, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Darko Vučić, Head of the Department for Development and Competitive Sports at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Zrinka Ujević, Head of the European Commission Representation in Croatia, Karlo Ressler, Member of the European Parliament, Darko Koren, Prefect of Koprivnica-Križevci County, Representatives of our main sponsor Bambi, Ana Kovačević, Victoriya Boklag, CEO of United Group B.V., Adrian Ježina, CEO of Telemach Hrvatska, Representatives of The Coca-Cola Company and Coca-Cola HBC, Ivan Tolj, representative of Styria Media Group in Croatia, Hrvoje Prkačin, CEO of Europlakat Hrvatska.
Athletes Marko Tomas, Mario Kovačević, and Adriano Jagušić joined the children and esteemed guests in lighting the Games torch — symbolizing the spirit of the Youth Sports Games that will once again travel across Croatia this year.
More than 3,000 children took part in the Opening Ceremony, enjoying fun, games, and friendly competition in dodgeball, the Coca-Cola Cup qualifying tournaments, a FIDE chess tournament and table tennis.
This inspiring event in Križevci marks the official start of the Youth Sports Games in Croatia. Next stop – the Opening Ceremony in Serbia on May 16, in Požarevac!
