The Day of Sport in Serbia has officially begun!

As part of the 13th season of the Plazma Youth Sports Games, the largest amateur sports event for children in Europe, the Day of Sport marks the beginning of a new phase that brings sport, friendship and fair play to school halls and sports grounds across the country.

Through the Day of Sport, children have the opportunity not only to compete, but also to learn the true values of sport: teamwork, respect and inclusion. Events like these create a space where children from different communities come together, build friendships and experience the joy of playing together, reminding us how sport can unite and inspire.

The realization of the Games and the Day of Sport programme is made possible thanks to the strong support of partners and sponsors who recognize the importance of sport and healthy lifestyles for young generations. Special thanks go to Bambi, Coca-Cola HBC Serbia, Telekom Srbija, Dunav Insurance, Vienna Insurance Group, Wiener Städtische Insurance, the UEFA Foundation for Children, Banka Poštanska štedionica and Podravka, whose continuous support contributes to the development and growth of the Games.

The first events of this phase were successfully held in Ivanjica, Krupanj and Mali Zvornik, where hundreds of children gathered to participate in competitions, enjoy sports activities and celebrate the spirit of the Games.

A ceremonial torch lighting marked the beginning of the Day of Sport at every location, symbolizing unity and the shared values of the Games. A fantastic atmosphere could be felt at all events, with children, teachers and local communities celebrating sport together.

The excitement was especially strong in Ivanjica, the first city to host the Day of Sport in this phase. The school hall was filled with cheering and enthusiasm as a large number of children took part in Lino dodgeball and the 60-metre athletics race, bringing energy, joy and true sporting spirit to the start of this new stage of the Games.

In Krupanj and Mali Zvornik, the programme was enriched by ceremonial torch runs, performances by school choirs, and the presence of local community representatives and young athletes who inspired participants to pursue sport, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.

The Plazma Youth Sports Games caravan now continues its journey across Serbia, bringing together thousands of children and spreading the values of friendship, equality and fair play through sport.
